If you have been behind the wheel the past few weeks, you will probably notice that traffic is once again building up, after almost 10 months of bizarre quiet—in the urban jungle. It seems all is back to normal, as private vehicles, cyclists, and commuters have brought life back to the streets.

For Cleanfuel, the Philippines’ fastest-growing independent fuel company, it’s business as usual: the same 24-hour schedule for their stations, so that their motorist customers still have a rest stop they can rely on (including some of the fanciest air-conditioned restrooms you can ask of a gas station chain).

“We do feel blessed that for the past years, and also these past months, business has been going smoothly. While we have faced certain challenges like every business in these trying times, we have managed to survive better than the rest.” <callout-alt-author>Atty. The company has stations all over Luzon; last October, it recently opened a new station in Ortigas Extension, Pasig City.

At the peak of Metro Manila’s lockdown, as in many other industries, Cleanfuel had to adapt quickly; they made the move into the realm of face masks, face shields, and thermal scanning. The fuel company also went into contactless and cashless options through GCash and Paymaya (“a necessity for all motorists,” Atty. Suntay says) in order to serve customers better. But it also reached out and did its part to help our fellow Filipinos who where hit hard; the company participated in relief operations in northern provinces like Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, and San Fernando, as well as in cities within Metro Manila. It ensured the transportation of medical workers that needed to get from point A to B quickly.

“We are beyond grateful for customers and partners that trust our brand and support Cleanfuel,” said Suntay. “This is more than just providing high-quality and cost-efficient products. We have always wanted to go beyond our commitment to help motorists.”

To all the motorists getting back on the road, here’s a final tip: You can still avail of your Cleanfuel VIP card!

For every liter of fuel purchased, you get a single VIP point added to your card, which eventually adds up to big rewards. Sign up here.
